Protecting Hobart's unique qualities
Supporting sensitive development
Improving services for residents
Reinstating free kerbside clean-ups
Promoting free suburban bus links
Guarding against insensitive high rise
Identifying land for low cost housing
Upholding transparency & accountability

I have decided to stand as a candidate for the Hobart City Council in October 2018.

It's important that people participate in their local communities and new candidates put themselves forward.

It's time for new people to move onto the Hobart City Council.

Many Councillors have been there for a very long time and become comfortable in their positions.

People are over what has been referred too as the "trough of indulgence".

Alderman have sent themselves on expensive ratepayer funded overseas study tours or fact finding missions, without providing reports or direct benefits too the community.

New ideas are required to tackle old and emerging issues.

I successfully campaigned for Council to adopt Green waste bins in 2014 & 15.
Many residents have welcomed this change.

We now need to address new and emerging issues such as:-

* traffic congestion;

* the housing crisis;

* encouraging sensitive development;

* protecting Hobart's unique qualities;

* improving services for residents;

* keeping rates affordable; and

* supporting transparency and accountability.

I will be detailing my ideas for positive change over the next few months.

I will be a community based Alderman. I will listen to the views of residents and act on the evidence.

If you would like to assist me in my campaign, please contact me.

I will look forward to engaging with you in a positive and meaningful way.
